Warehouse Supervisor – Manufacturing / Food & Beverage

A well-established food and beverage manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead day-to-day warehouse and distribution operations at its Philadelphia facility.

This position is ideal for a hands-on leader with strong manufacturing warehouse experience who can effectively manage employees, inventory, shipping/receiving, safety, quality, and customer order fulfillment in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise, train, schedule, coach, and develop warehouse employees.
  • Oversee daily shipping, receiving, storage, inventory, and distribution activities.
  • Maintain a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA, GMP, food safety, and quality requirements.
  • Coordinate inventory movement between warehouse, production, and distribution.
  • Conduct physical inventory counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and warehouse documentation within the WMS.
  • Monitor product quality, inventory rotation, and short-dated product.
  • Coordinate closely with production, customer service, and distribution to ensure accurate and on-time customer orders.
  • Resolve shipping/receiving discrepancies and maintain appropriate records.
  • Monitor warehouse productivity, quality, customer service, and operating efficiency.
  • Support equipment reliability and preventive maintenance activities.
  • Assist with warehouse budgets, expenses, and operational improvements.
  • Support continuous improvement and food safety initiatives.

Required / Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; additional education or relevant certification preferred.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing warehouse experience preferred.
  • 3+ years of warehouse supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Food, beverage, dairy, refrigerated, or other GMP-regulated manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with WMS/inventory systems, cycle or physical counts, and inventory reconciliation.
  • Strong knowledge of shipping, receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations.
  • Strong safety awareness and experience enforcing warehouse procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, motivate, and hold employees accountable.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with Production, Distribution, Customer Service, Quality, and other departments.

Work Environment

This is a hands-on manufacturing warehouse leadership position. Candidates must be comfortable working in a refrigerated/cooler environment, around manufacturing operations, and in areas that may be noisy or wet/slippery.

The position may require standing and walking for extended periods and the ability to lift approximately 50–60 pounds as required.

Ideal Candidate

The strongest candidate will have recent experience supervising employees within a manufacturing warehouse or food/beverage distribution environment and will understand the importance of safety, inventory accuracy, productivity, food quality, and on-time customer fulfillment.
