Regional Technical Sales Manager — Target Candidate
Remote – Nationwide | Client opening new plant in Franklin, GA
Base: $115K–$130K —
Bonus: Up to approximately $45K based on revenue, profit and individual/team KPIs
Travel: Approximately 25% U.S. + occasional international
True MUST-HAVES
- 5+ years outside industrial/technical sales
- Experience selling electrical products/components into industrial customers
- Some exposure to the transformer, power, utility, high-voltage, electrical equipment or energy industry
- Comfortable with technical RFQs, quotations, pricing and contract negotiations
- Proven new-business/customer-development experience — not just account maintenance
- Willing to be hands-on/"boots on the ground" and help build a U.S. customer base from the ground up
- Comfortable working for an international/European organization and with a greenfield U.S. operation
- Technical degree preferred, particularly electrical engineering, but the intake makes the industrial sales + electrical product knowledge the critical combination.
Candidate Level I Would Target
Because the client tends to favor someone more junior in their career, I would concentrate primarily on candidates with roughly 5–12 years of relevant experience, rather than 20–30-year VP/Director-level sales executives.
