Position Overview
A confidential organization in the construction and real estate sector is seeking a highly detail-oriented Senior Staff Accountant to support accounting operations across multiple entities. This role is responsible for loan-related accounting activities, job cost accounting, and month-end close processes, and will work closely with finance leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
This position requires current, hands-on experience with JD Edwards (JDE), which is a non-negotiable requirement.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare and post loan closing journal entries

Manage loan draws, reconciliations, and supporting documentation

Support loan compliance reporting and lender-related accounting requirements

Participate in and support the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

Perform job cost accounting, including tracking, reconciliation, and variance analysis

Maintain accurate accounting records across multiple legal entities

Partner with internal teams to ensure financial data integrity and audit readiness

Support ad hoc accounting analysis and reporting as requested
Required Qualifications

Proven experience as a Staff Accountant or Senior Staff Accountant

Background in construction and/or real estate accounting

Experience managing accounting for multiple entities

Strong working knowledge of JD Edwards (JDE) — required / non-negotiable

Solid experience with loan accounting, including loan closings, draws, and reconciliations

Hands-on experience with job cost accounting

Strong month-end close experience
