Senior Electrical Engineer – Marine Electronics

Henpen Staffing Consultants is recruiting a Senior Electrical Engineer for a confidential manufacturer of marine electronics and outdoor consumer products.

This hands-on role leads electrical and electronic product development from concept through production release. The ideal candidate brings strong circuit design, prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting experience, along with the ability to turn innovative concepts into reliable, manufacturable products.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical and electronic systems for new products and improve existing designs.
• Create and evaluate circuits, schematics, and prototypes for performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
• Develop product specifications, engineering drawings, test procedures, and verification documentation.
• Conduct technical feasibility studies, product qualification, field testing, and competitive evaluations.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical and electronic issues during development and after production launch.
• Manage project schedules, development costs, and quality objectives.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, suppliers, and cross-functional teams on tooling, assembly methods, and production readiness.
• Maintain engineering files, supplier communications, and Engineering Change Orders.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering/technology, or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of electrical design engineering experience within consumer product development.
• Advanced skills in electrical/electronic circuit design, evaluation, and testing.
• Experience creating and interpreting schematics.
• Proven experience taking products from concept through production.
• Ability to translate concepts into practical, manufacturable designs.
• Experience managing complex engineering projects, including timelines and costs.
• Proficiency with engineering analysis, simulation, and design software.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Position Details

This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports. Work is performed on-site in Eufaula, Alabama.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary of $90,000–$130,000, depending on experience.
