Physician Assistant – Surgical First Assistant

Your Role
You’ll work closely with the Chief of Surgery, as well as Vascular and Oncology Surgeons—serving as a First Assist in the OR while also supporting patients before and after surgery in the clinical setting.
What You’ll Do
  • Act as First Assist in the operating room
  • Support pre-operative evaluations and post-operative follow-up care
  • Participate in clinic responsibilities and patient management
  • Assist with inpatient rounding as needed
  • Coordinate communication with referring and primary care providers to ensure seamless continuity of care
What You Bring
  • Current New York State Physician Assistant license
  • National Certification (NCCPA)
  • Valid DEA license
  • BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
  • Confidence working in both surgical and clinical environments
Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary Range: $125,000 – $135,000
