Immediate opening for an experienced Senior Master Planner to develop and drive master planning and scheduling processes that support lean operations, disciplined inventory control, and best-in-class customer service. This role plays a critical part in translating demand into executable, level-loaded production plans while respecting value-stream capacity constraints. You will serve as a key contributor to the global SIOP process and partner cross-functionally to improve planning accuracy, flow, and on-time delivery across the enterprise.
Organization Highlights
  • Established manufacturing organization with complex, high-mix operations
  • Strong emphasis on lean principles, continuous improvement, and operational discipline
  • High-visibility role with direct impact on customer service, inventory, and financial performance
  • Collaborative, cross-functional culture spanning supply chain, manufacturing, and commercial teams
Select Responsibilities
  • Own the creation, maintenance, and long-term direction of master schedules and production plans supporting $70M sales, while maintaining inventory within business targets.
  • Create, maintain, and drive execution of the Production Control Schedule in SAP, ensuring achievement of customer service, on-time delivery, inventory, past-due, and strategic pre-build objectives.
  • Lead master scheduling across assigned value stream(s); track, analyze, and communicate KPIs, and take corrective action to meet or exceed forecasted demand.
  • Serve as a core contributor to the global SIOP process, partnering with demand planning to translate forecasts into executable production and supply plans.
  • Collaborate closely with customers, account representatives, customer service, purchasing, sourcing, and manufacturing to stabilize demand and align supply.
  • Manage supply-chain performance for assigned value stream(s), including monitoring supplier KPIs, diagnosing issues, implementing corrective actions, and strengthening supplier relationships.
  • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Kaizen, process redesign) to improve material flow, reduce lead times, and enhance planning accuracy.
  • Analyze manufacturing capacity across the plant—from press operations through final assembly and packaging—and recommend crewing levels and long-term capacity plans.
  • Support new product introductions and ensure master data integrity by maintaining accurate material, routing, and work-center data to drive reliable MRP results.
Qualifications
Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • 4+ years of master planning or production planning experience in a high-mix, low-volume or engineered-to-order manufacturing environment; experience supporting $50M+ value streams preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with MRP/ERP systems; SAP experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of MRP logic, BOMs, routings, lead-time management, and capacity planning.
  • Proven analytical skills with a data-driven mindset; advanced Excel and planning tool proficiency.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and execute in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
  • Experience with lean manufacturing tools, production scheduling software, and APS systems.
  • APICS/CPIM or similar supply-chain certification.
  • Familiarity with change management, MOC, and new product introduction / PLM processes.
