Senior Electrical Design (Hardware) Engineer
Location: Confidential (Onsite – Monday–Friday)
Compensation: $120,000 – $140,000 + Bonus (flexible for the right candidate)

The Senior Electrical Design Engineer will design, develop, and improve digital hardware used in embedded control platforms. This role combines hands-on circuit and PCB design with cross-functional collaboration, verification, and product development support to deliver reliable, production-ready hardware.
Circuit & PCB Design
• Develop and update schematics and printed circuit boards for embedded control systems
• Select components and drive design for manufacturability (DFM) and testability (DFT)
• Lead design reviews and ensure quality of engineering outputs
Digital Interfaces & Embedded Systems
• Design microcontroller interfaces, signal conditioning, and serial communications (SPI, I²C, UART)
• Collaborate with firmware teams on system integration and board bring-up
Verification, Test & Compliance
• Execute validation testing, functional verification, and pre-compliance (EMC/environmental)
• Troubleshoot and resolve design issues to meet regulatory and safety standards
Manufacturing & Cross-Functional Support
• Partner with manufacturing to resolve build issues and support production release
• Contribute to continuous improvement and engineering change initiatives
Education & Experience
• BS/MS in Electrical, Electronic, or Computer Engineering
• 10+ years of electrical engineering experience with a focus on digital hardware design
Technical Skills
• Digital logic, embedded systems, and microcontrollers
• Serial communications (SPI, I²C, UART) and industrial interfaces (Ethernet, RS-232/485)
• Schematic capture and PCB layout tools (Altium preferred)
• Familiarity with simulation tools (LTspice, Simulink, Plexim) preferred
• FPGA/CPLD and HDL (VHDL/Verilog) experience is a plus
• Knowledge of IPC, UL/CSA, and compliance standards preferred
