Location: Greenville, South Carolina (Onsite)
Compensation: $120,000–$150,000 base
Reports To: Plant Manager
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead manufacturing operations at a Tier 1 automotive fuel injector facility. This role has direct responsibility for production execution, people leadership, safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance across multiple product lines and shifts.
This is a hands-on plant leadership role suited for an operations professional with experience in high-volume, precision automotive manufacturing who thrives in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment.
Lead multiple manufacturing product groups to achieve SQDC targets (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost)
Directly manage and coach production supervisors across multiple shifts
Own daily execution of production schedules in coordination with Planning and Supply Chain
Drive Lean manufacturing initiatives (5S, Kaizen, Shainin, problem-solving)
Lead safety and quality improvement efforts; reinforce a strong safety culture
Maintain compliance with ISO 9001 and automotive quality expectations
Support new product prototype builds and production launches
Manage departmental budgets and operational cost controls
Represent operations in customer interactions, audits, and supplier discussions
Partner closely with Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain
Bachelor’s degree (Engineering, Operations, or related preferred)
5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience in automotive or high-volume manufacturing
Demonstrated success leading hourly and supervisory teams
Experience with MRP/ERP systems
Strong working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing
Project management experience within a plant environment
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Tier 1 automotive environment with precision manufacturing and technical complexity
Strong leadership visibility reporting directly to the Plant Manager
