A leading global consumer products manufacturer with advanced electro-mechanical manufacturing operations is seeking a Quality Engineer to support new product introduction, supplier quality, and ongoing manufacturing quality conformance at its Eufaula, AL facility.
This role is hands-on, plant-based, and highly collaborative with Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain.
Support quality execution in new product development as a core team member
Develop, execute, and report test plans using scientific and statistical methods
Ensure quality readiness from development through production launch
Provide technical support for receiving inspection and inspection procedures
Lead Material Review Board (MRB) activities and corrective actions
Partner with Engineering on root cause analysis and permanent corrective solutions
Support monthly quality performance reporting and continuous improvement efforts
Plan and control process and product quality using quality engineering principles, sampling plans, and measurement systems
Lead and participate in FMEA activities
Conduct testing and supplier engagement to diagnose failure modes
Drive internal and supplier corrective action requests (CARs) as needed
Plan, conduct, and report supplier audits
Interface directly with suppliers on quality issues
Evaluate defective parts returned from the field
Represent company quality interests with external partners
Support environmental initiatives focused on sustainable and greener products
Ensure compliance with all internal quality systems and policies
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field
(Mathematics or similar technical degree acceptable with relevant experience)
2+ years of hands-on Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience supporting production, suppliers, and new product launches
Exposure to electro-mechanical or consumer product manufacturing strongly preferred
Strong understanding of quality systems, methodologies, and standards
Working knowledge of MRB, FMEA, corrective/preventive actions, and supplier quality
Ability to influence cross-functional teams in a manufacturing setting
Strong problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset
Effective verbal and written communication across departments and externally
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Ability to travel occasionally (as required)
