Job Description
Manufacturing Engineer to be responsible for leading and executing plant-wide initiatives focused on operational excellence and waste elimination. This role champions lean manufacturing principles and works collaboratively with cross-functional teams to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost.
Key Responsibilities
• Own and lead continuous improvement (CI) initiatives across the manufacturing plant.
• Plan, facilitate, and follow up on Kaizen events, root cause analysis, and process redesign.
• Identify and eliminate waste through lean tools and methods such as 5S, visual management, and Poka-Yoke methodology.
• Collaborate with production, quality, engineering, and maintenance teams to drive improvements in key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Support process standardization, layout optimization, and workflow efficiency.
• Specify and support tooling, fixtures, and equipment used in manufacturing operations.
• Provide hands-on support on the production floor to troubleshoot and resolve process or assembly issues.
Qualifications
Experience & Education
• BS or AS in Manufacturing engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or process improvement role.
• Proven experience leading CI or Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
Technical Proficiency
• Strong knowledge of lean principles (e.g., Kaizen, standard work, 5S, root cause analysis).
• Knowledge of sheet metal and/or circuit board assembly preferred.
• Familiarity with weld, paint, and assembly operations is highly preferred.
• Proficiency with data analysis, time studies, and process mapping.
• CAD knowledge is preferred.
