This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, technology-driven manufacturing environment known for innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction. The selected leader will oversee all aspects of materials planning, purchasing, and inventory control while ensuring smooth coordination between production, engineering, and global supply partners.
Key Responsibilities Materials Planning & Inventory Control
Lead material requirements planning (MRP) and forecasting to ensure component availability and efficient production scheduling.
Maintain optimal inventory levels—balancing production needs, cash flow, and warehouse capacity.
Ensure ERP data integrity (JDE, SAP, or Oracle) for accurate BOMs, lead times, and purchasing parameters.
Procurement & Supplier Performance
Direct sourcing and purchasing of electronic and electro-mechanical components (e.g., PCBs, harnesses, sensors, housings, motors).
Negotiate supplier terms, contracts, and cost-reduction initiatives while maintaining consistent delivery and quality performance.
Collaborate with corporate supply chain and engineering on vendor qualification, cost improvement, and new product introductions.
Leadership & Process Improvement
Supervise and develop a high-performing materials and logistics team.
Partner with Production, Quality, and Finance to support plant objectives and customer delivery requirements.
Implement lean materials management strategies to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and throughput.
Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S, Kanban, and VMI programs.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
7+ years of experience in materials management, planning, or supply chain leadership within a manufacturing environment (electronics or electro-mechanical preferred).
Strong ERP/MRP experience (JDE, SAP, or equivalent).
Proven leadership in supplier management, cost optimization, and cross-functional collaboration.
Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles is preferred.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship.
