Position: Quality Engineer

The Quality Engineer will play a key role in developing, implementing, and maintaining programs and procedures to ensure production and supplier quality, manage product returns, and support environmental initiatives. This position is highly cross-functional, working with new product development teams, vendors, and internal quality groups to ensure both new and existing products meet standards for production readiness and compliance.
New Product Conformance: Support quality in the new product process as a team member/resource; develop and execute test plans and report results.
Ongoing Quality Assurance: Lead material review board activities; implement corrective actions with suppliers; provide inspection technical support; create or review inspection procedures; prepare monthly performance reports; and ensure compliance with quality principles (acceptance sampling, measurement systems, etc.).
Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA): Lead and support projects, diagnose issues, test solutions, and coordinate supplier engagement.
Vendor/Supplier Management: Conduct supplier audits; interface with vendors on quality issues; evaluate field returns; ensure compliance with quality standards.
Environmental Initiatives: Support sustainability and product “green” initiatives.
Bachelor’s degree in business, science, engineering, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in quality engineering or a related function within manufacturing.
Knowledge of quality philosophies, tools, and methods (FMEA, corrective/preventive actions, quality improvement tools).
Understanding of quality systems in line with domestic and international standards.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to influence decision-making across teams.
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to travel as required.
