Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to oversee the maintenance, installation, and repair of electrical systems and equipment. This role involves ensuring the reliability and efficiency of power distribution networks and control circuits, while prioritizing safety and operational excellence in a dynamic industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventative maintenance, installation, and repair of electrical systems, including motors, generators, transformers, control systems, and power distribution networks.
  • Apply electrical engineering principles to test and ensure the proper functioning of machinery, control equipment, and circuitry.
  • Operate and maintain 480 VAC 3-phase motor control systems and medium voltage motors, drives, and related infrastructure.
  • Conduct diagnostic testing on electrical components such as motor-controlled devices, switch panels, transformers, and generator windings to identify and resolve issues.
  • Troubleshoot system malfunctions, isolate root causes, and implement corrective actions, including dismantling and reassembling equipment as needed.
  • Develop and implement processes for preventative and corrective maintenance to enhance system reliability.
  • Design and maintain control circuits for industrial equipment, ensuring safety and optimal performance.
  • Utilize hand tools and diagnostic equipment to test, repair, and maintain electrical systems.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, remain vigilant about workplace hazards, and communicate risks or issues that may impact safety, production, or quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational needs and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform additional tasks as required to support operational goals.
Qualifications
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in electrical engineering, preferably in industrial or manufacturing settings.
  • Expertise in low and medium voltage systems (up to 13.6kV transformers and power systems).
  • Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting and programming, particularly with Allen-Bradley systems, in industrial environments.
  • Strong skills in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing electrical control systems.
  • Experience specifying and implementing robust sensors and sensing systems.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and techniques to resolve electrical issues efficiently.
  • Physical ability to access all work areas, including climbing, crawling, stooping, bending, squatting, and reaching.
  • Capability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, hard hat, safety harness, and electrical safety gear.
  • Comfortable working in varying temperatures, both indoors and outdoors, year-round.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull loads exceeding 50 lbs.
  • Willingness to work a minimum of 55 hours per week and support any shift during operational emergencies.
Work Environment: This role requires a proactive, safety-conscious professional who can adapt to changing conditions and contribute to a collaborative team environment. The position is primarily day shift but may require flexibility to support operational needs
