Location: Greensboro, NC

Salary: $80,000 – $90,000 + benefits

A global manufacturer with 60 plants and over 7,000 employees is seeking a Process Engineer for its Greensboro, NC facility. This role is focused on improving day-to-day operations on the pour line, optimizing mechanical systems, and leading process innovation in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and improve pump and piping systems to correct design flaws and enhance efficiency.

  • Use data-driven analysis to identify and implement process improvements that increase yield and reduce scrap.

  • Design and install new equipment and process systems.

  • Develop and revise standard operating procedures (SOPs); lead training for production staff.

  • Support foam formulation development to meet customer and internal requirements.

  • Track and analyze production KPIs, including usage, yield, and scrap.

  • Maintain compliance with ISO 9001 standards, site safety policies, and 5S principles.

  • Provide limited supervisory support, such as covering team leads during absences.

 Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering preferred.

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in manufacturing or process engineering (polyurethane or polymer experience preferred).

  • Strong understanding of pump/piping design, mechanical systems, and process troubleshooting.

  • Skilled in data analysis, mathematical modeling, and Excel reporting (macros or programming a plus).
