Geotechnical Engineer at an engineering firm in Ashland, VA. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with a strong background in geotechnical engineering, subsurface exploration, and construction materials testing. Key Requirements:
Must have: Geotechnical engineering experience with ACI, VDOT, and/or NICET certifications
Experience: 3-7 years in geotechnical engineering, geology, or related fields
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
Certifications: Engineer-in-Training (EIT) preferred; plans to obtain PE licensure a plus
Field Work: Must be comfortable with subsurface investigations, lab analysis, and on-site testing
Software Knowledge: Familiarity with GeoSystems, Gint, L-Pile, MSEW preferred
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 60-80 lbs, valid driver’s license, willingness to travel as needed
