Job Overview:
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Sales Manager to join their team, a global designer and manufacturer of custom heat exchangers serving various industries, including Energy, Food, Pharma, Environmental, and General Industrial sectors. As a Technical Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing and expanding our sales efforts in a specific geographical area and market category. Your expertise in heat transfer equipment systems, combined with your proven track record in business development, will be pivotal in driving our growth and success.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and margin targets for the designated geographical area and market category.
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while actively seeking opportunities to expand the customer base through both personal networks and proactive marketing methods.
Lead the forecasting process to anticipate sales trends and ensure that the organization is adequately prepared to meet customer demand.
Work closely with the Inside Sales and Design Team to streamline the sales cycle, escalate revenue gains, and provide technical input during project development.
Engage in various phases of the design and development process for heat exchanger projects, offering technical expertise to address customer needs.
Identify and contact potential clients at both the regional and national levels, leveraging your industry knowledge and network to expand our customer base.
Utilize your technical expertise to inspire confidence in clients, solve complex problems, and provide tailored solutions for customers.
Contribute to pricing strategy and incentive development to maximize profitability.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) in Business or Engineering.
Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in Heat Transfer Equipment systems or related fields.
Proven track record in business development, including successful client identification and engagement at both regional and national levels.
Experience in engineered solution sales, marketing, and product development.
Strong business acumen and knowledge of large capital projects.
Self-directed, proactive, and capable of working effectively within a team-oriented work environment.
Compensation and Benefits:
Base Salary: $125,000 - $135,000
Signing Bonus
Up to 60% Bonus Program based on performance
